You can do that but need an export agency-Lunar Shipping/Penguin Shipping are good. Car would be shipped from Southampton port & would take about 1 month in transit. Check the duty/tax involved in Africa as they are usually ridiculously high if you don't "know" people. Ebay, local classified adds & Gumtree are good places to source the cars. Make sure they have all reg. docs including engine/chassis number etc to avoid any problems with customs in Africa.

You can find Jap. cars already in South Africa on www.tradecarview.com. A standard car would cost about £600 to ship then import duty,tax & agency fees will apply in relation to original cost of vehicle etc. It will take a minimum of 1 month before the vehicle arrives at a U.K port.
