Your main responsibilities will include:
> Provide thorough, effective and efficient support to the Buying Manager.
> Accurately Implement cost and price increases/decreases to agreed timescales.
> Respond to and resolve invoice queries.
> Liase with suppliers for samples and ensure approval is received from QA and design.
> Order stock for launches and monitor stock levels of discontinued products. > Ensure all planogram changes are notified clearly and on time to stores through liaison with merchandising.
> Produce briefing packs for supplier meetings as requested by Buying Manager and suppliers.
> Reconcile all cost changes with margin report to ensure consistency.
> Provide support during new product development process; liasing with suppliers, logistics, merchandising, stores, design and technical services.
> Maintain the sample stock to agreed standards.
> Monitor and track promotions, in order to achieve to achieve category objectives.
> Check and amend according to agreed criteria POS materials and liaise with marketing and suppliers.
> To be responsible for managing and maintaining data requirements for the buying function.
> Produce weekly trading results and other ad hoc reports as requested by the Buying Manager and suppliers.
> Monitor new line performance and communicate outcomes to Buying Manager.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have attention to detail, be highly computer literate and have good communication skills. You will be able to think quickly and make successful commercial decisions. You will be a graduate with previous retail experience, ideally within a buying office.
