Your main responsibilities will include:

> Analysis and tracking of store sales, stock movements, best & worst sellers

> Analysis of historical and current trends at store level

> Make ranging decisions based on available information ie current sales trends and store demographics / trading potential

> Manage supplier programmes, availability and performance, to maximise service to the business

> Manage clearance of exiting lines in a timely manner whilst minimising impact upon profit

> Develop good understanding of store chain through liaison with retail colleagues and store visits

> Order stock from suppliers to meet commitments and maximise profit

> Work with buyers to produce seasonal analysis for production of new season plans

Working within the Group Finance team, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience in management accounting, statutory accounts and taxation, planning and forecasting, treasury management, business support, credit control, payroll, internal audit and more. You'll also enjoy sponsorship for study towards your choice of either the CIMA or ACCA professional accounting qualifications. You’ll of course need to be dedicated to a career in Accounting, but you will receive support for your professional development and training throughout, as you decide the area (s) in which you will specialise.

You'll need to be able to adapt to different work scenarios and will be confident in communicating with a wide range of people. You will also have good PC skills and will be able to use Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel to a high level of competency. You'll have a minimum 2:1 degree, with 3 C’s at A-Level (excluding General Studies) and will preferably have studied Maths to A-Level or higher.

Although not essential, language skills would be advantageous, particularly Italian, French or Spanish. Sophos is a global organisation with headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire (UK). Systems Manager / Control Engineer

An exciting, Senior Operations / Control Engineer role for Trinity House - the Lighthouse Authority for England and Wales and the world’s leading provider of aids to navigation.

With a package of circa £35K (plus annual bonus and generous benefits) we are seeking a highly motivated Control Engineer to manage our telemetry system and two major radio-based aid to navigation systems.

You will be a key member of the Planning and Project Development Department, reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer. Your three core areas of responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operation of the Central Monitoring and Control System, manage the performance of the Automatic Identification System (AIS), andmanage the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS). For each of these systems you will own the quality of the system output and be responsible for updating the systems content.

Additionally you will administer the DGPS network for the General Lighthouse Authorities’ DGPS network operations, the GLA’s comprising Trinity House, Northern Lighthouse Board and the Commissioners of Irish Lights

You should have ideally worked within an Engineering Team. Whilst not essential; any experience of one or more of the following would be beneficial: SCADA, wide area telemetry systems, structured and object orientated programming, DGNSS or radio navigation / communications.
